Orrie Seigel Vander Wey

Orrie Seigel Vander Wey, 76, of Goshen, died Monday afternoon, February 24, 2014, at Golden Living Center, Elkhart. He was born July 10, 1937 in Goshen, to Seigel O. and Evelyn (Kinkead) Vander Wey. He is survived by a son, Paul Andrew (Heather) Vander Wey of Carlsbad, California, and a brother, George (Janet) Vander Wey of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents. A lifelong Goshen resident, he worked with his brother, George, at Vander Wey and Sons Masons. He also worked as a groundskeeper for Goshen High School and Goshen College. A member of Green Road Church, Goshen, Mr. Vander Wey served with the U.S. Army and was a life member of the D.A.V. #15. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where an 11 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2014, funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Dave Vander Wiele, Greene Road Church, will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be at West Goshen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to D.A.V. #15.
