Orpha Getz

Orpha Getz, 96, of Goshen, died Monday afternoon, November 14, 2005, at Americare where she had been a patient one week.   She was born August 21, 1909, in LaGrange County, Indiana, to Ben and Susan (Weirich) Miller.  On June 1, 1929, she married Kenneth C. Getz.  He died January 19, 1985.   Mrs. Getz was a member of the Berea Missionary Church, Shipshewana.   She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy N. (Ray) Overholser and Donna B. (John) Miller, both of Goshen, three sons, Delbert W. (Mary Ellen) Getz of Goshen, Darwin D. (Echo) Getz of Bristol and Donald W. Getz of Bradenton, Florida, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, five sisters and four brothers.   Friends will be received 4 to 7 pm, Friday, November 18, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   A 10:00 am, Saturday, November 19, 2005, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Ray Overholt, Berea Missionary Church, Shipshewana, will officiate.   Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
