Orlin J. Schrock, Jr, 88, of Goshen, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018, at Courtyard Healthcare.
He was born July 6, 1929 in Goshen to Orlin J. Schrock Sr. and Evangeline (Kesler) Schrock.
On June 4, 1956 he married Mildred Berkey at First United Methodist Church, Goshen. She died May 24, 2017.
Survivors include two sons, Brad (Marti) Schrock of Franklin and Jeff Schrock of Goshen; a granddaughter, Madison Long and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Berkey of Goshen.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Julie LaNea Atz and her husband, John.
A 1947 Goshen High School graduate, Mr. Schrock went on to Manchester College and after earning a bachelor’s degree he enlisted with the U.S. Army and served in Germany.
A member of First United Methodist Church, he worked at Goshen Rubber for more than 30 years. He was Goshen Police Reserve Chief until retiring in 1989.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 23, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 12, noon, Thursday funeral service will be conducted. Pastors Ed and Brenda Fritz will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
