Ora M. Miller, 78, of Goshen, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 19, 2015, at IU Health Goshen Hospital after a three week illness. He was born in Middlebury on November 8, 1936 to Dan R. and Katie J. (Schrock) Miller. On June 4, 1960 he married Beverly J. Stahley in Goshen. She died October 21, 2004. On January 7, 2006 he married Anita (Rule) St. Germain in Middlebury. She survives along with his children, a daughter, Tracy D. Zook of Goshen,; and sons, Daniel E. (Lori) Miller of Churubusco and Robert A. (Nora Lynn) Miller and Dana L. (Karen) Miller, both of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; two sisters, Lydia D. Hershberger and Viola Miller; and four brothers, Melvin D., Mahlon D., Olin D. and Levi D. Miller. A lifetime area resident, Ora was a member of Sugar Grove Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a salesman for Butternut Bread. He was building and grounds manager for the Elkhart County Fairgrounds. Mr. Miller was active with the Goshen Honor Guard and on the Elkhart County Fair Board. He had served as director of food concessions. Friends may call Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A Friday, May 22, 2015, 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted at Sugar Grove Church, Goshen. Dr. Cary Perdue will officiate. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Gideons International.
