Omar E. Lantz, 83, of Goshen, died Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Goshen Hospital.
He was born in Topeka on April 11, 1936 to Edward and Lizzie Ann (Yoder) Lantz.
He married Catherine J. Miller in Goshen on February 28, 1959.
She survives along with three children, Cheryl (Mark) Keeler of Byron Center, Michigan, Denise (Charles) Pahlman of Willoughby Ohio and Mark (Crystal) Lantz of South Bend; eight grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Ellen (Jake) Stoltzfus, Goshen and two sisters-in-law, Janie Lantz of LaGrange and Charlotte “Petie” Lantz of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Treva L. Miller and brothers, Delbert, Virgil, Harlan “Chic” and Floyd Lantz.
Mr. Lantz owned Pro-Tape Dry Wall and owned and farmed a small farm on the side.
Mr. Lantz was a member of Christian Center Church, South Bend and had a heart for missions. He often did dry wall work for missionaries, both domestic and international. For more than 30 years he was a member of First Assembly of God, Goshen, and served on their board and taught Sunday school.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Edward J. Machan, his partner in missions, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
