O. Pauline Thompson

O. Pauline Thompson, 93, of Goshen, died Friday evening, June 20, 2014, at Courtyard Healthcare. She had been ill the past three months. She was born April 11, 1921 in Nashville to William and Bessie (Carroll) Reece. On February 23, 1943 she married Raymond R. Thompson in Boise, Idaho. He died March 29, 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Karen (Gerald) Boyd of Goshen; two sons, A. Kirby (Julie) Thompson of Orlando, Florida and Brian K. (Danielle) Thompson of Elkhart; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents;, her husband; a son, Steven Ray Thompson; and 12 siblings, Elsie Sypholt, Clatus Hartsouk, Georgia Dickison, Thelma Cranfill, Lucille Johnson, Carlene Vance, Floyd, Verlin, Harry, Robert, Everett and Ivan Reece. A homemaker, Mrs. Thompson graduated from St. John's School of Nursing in Anderson. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Friends may call Monday, June 23, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 11:30 to 1 p.m., Tuesday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2014, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Beezley, Clunette United Methodist Church, Leesburg, will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Marian Hoogenboom Care House.
