Norman H. Zook Norman H. Zook, 76, of New Paris, died Saturday morning, March 4, 2006, at his home after an extended illness. He was born December 11, 1929, in Minot, North Dakota, to David and Frances (Kroft) Zook. On May 11, 1958, in Goshen, he married Esther Bainter. She survives. Mr. Zook was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a welder for Rustler Horse Trailer and was self-employed as a crane operator. He was a member of the Trailriders Saddle Club and the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife, Esther; a step-daughter, Debra (Michael) Kevern of Ocala, Florida; a step-son, Rick Ramey of Arlington, Texas; two granddaughters, April (Chad) McKeown of Goshen and Angela (Albert) Gizzarelli of Rhode Island, New York; and a sister, Margaret Woodiwiss of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn Zook and Mildred Petry, and a brother, Donny Zook. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the funeral home. A 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 9, 2006, service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Spyker of Jefferson Brethren Church will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen, where he will be honored by the DAV, VFW and the American Legion. Memorials may be designated to Goshen Hospital Care at Home Program.
