Norman D. “Dale” Elswick, 61, of Goshen, died unexpectedly Monday, May 16, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born March 1, 1961 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Ballord and Bertha (Tackett) Elswick.
He married Thea (Mullins) Elswick in Virginia in 1981.
She survives along with three daughters and a son, Kristy (Jesse) Ernest of Elkhart, Crystal (Brian) Stroup, Shawn (Deedra Scott) Elswick and Thea Marie Elswick all of Goshen; five grandchildren; two brothers, Dewayne (Lisa) Elswick of Virgie, Kentucky and Greg (Cheryl) Elswick of Dorton, Kentucky and two sisters, Debbie (Carl) Berke of Virgie, Kentucky and Derallia (Charles) Smith of Deepwater, Missouri.
Norman was a 30-year resident in the area, he worked as the head in the receiving department at Thor Motor Coach. He enjoyed camping, going out to breakfast, car shows especially classic cars and garage sales.
Per his wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. A scattering of his cremated remains will take place at a later time in Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. celebration of life Saturday, May 21 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
