Norma A. Yoder, 74, of Goshen, died early Monday morning, July 17, 2006, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born February 22, 1932, in Bristol, Indiana, to William D. and Frances (Brant) Phillips. On October 8, 1950, she married Dale L. Yoder, in Bristol. He survives. Mrs. Yoder, a homemaker and lifetime Elkhart County resident, drove school bus for the Middlebury Schools for 20 years. She also coordinated, for about 10 years, the bus services for Greencroft. A 1950 Bristol High School graduate, she was a member of the Silverwood Mennonite Church and the Women in Mission and had served as a church organist. She helped start the Clintonettes, a Home Economics Club, with Evelyn Gardner and served on the Mennonite Disabilities Committee. Mrs. Yoder is survived by her husband, Dale; two sons, Dale Allen (Jennifer) Yoder and Todd W. (Joan E.) Yoder, both of Goshen; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Barbara Evans, and a brother Charles (Beth) Phillips, both of Bristol. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two daughters, Judith Yoder in 1953 and Brenda Yoder in 1972. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. A 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2006, funeral service will be held at the Silverwood Mennonite Church. Pastor Gary Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Silverwood Mennonite Church or Mennonite Disabilities Committee.
