Nora M. Maurer, 100, of Goshen, died Friday, November 26, 2010, at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. She had been ill for about one week. She was born July 25, 1910, in Elkhart County to Lawrence and Amanda (Laughman) Fink. On February 16, 1936, in Rochester, Indiana, she married Joseph Maurer. He died in October of 1977. Surviving are sons Larry M. Maurer, Goshen, Paul (Nancy) Maurer, Elkhart; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Edna Mitschlen, Louisville, Ky. She was preceded by her parents; two sisters, Florence Pletcher and Dora Maurer; and two brothers, Ralph and William Fink. A homemaker, she also babysat for many years. She was a member of First Church of God and known by her family and friends as a prayer warrior. Friends may call from 2-4 pm, Sunday, November 28, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 29, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Scott, First Church of God, Goshen, officiating. Burial will be at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, Goshen.
