Nora H. Laws

Nora H. Laws, 76, of Goshen died Friday, March 28, 2025 at Majestic Care under Center for Hospice Care.

She was born May 31, 1948 in Leitchfield, Kentucky.

Survivors include children, Lily Barrick, Timothy Barrick, Tabitha (Tony) Leadford, Ian Rodden, all of Goshen, and Nathan (Jennifer) Rodden of Iowa; 30 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are siblings Cindy (Vern) Sheley of Goshen, Henry (Charlotte) Estes, Phillip Estes, Brenda Carnes-Brooks, Karen (James) Carnes-Nash and Hank (Kimberly) Carnes all of Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Carnes; mother, Betty A. (Meredith) Estes; step-father, Henry Estes; grandsons, Erik Morris and Anthony Leadford; partner, Alfred Frost; former husbands; and siblings, Chuck, David, and Randall Carnes, Sue Adkins, Patricia Estes, Barney and Timothy Estes.

Nora was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She loved to dance and play games, especially Bingo. She also enjoyed Uno and jigsaw puzzles with the family.

She was a member of the Goshen Moose, Elkhart VFW and Elkhart DAV.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 12 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Her brother, Rev. Henry Estes of Union Band Baptist Church, Howardstown, Kentucky will officiate. For those able to attend services, please wear your best purple attire to honor Nora’s spirit.

According to her wishes, cremation will take place after services.
