Nola Marie Pyle

Nola Marie Pyle, 65, started life in Clay County, Kansas and passed away at home with loved ones in New Paris. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Douglas Pyle, and their two children: LaVerene (Pyle) Garner of Thomasville, North Carolina and Derrick Pyle of Seattle, Washington. One of Nola's greatest loves was being a Granola to her granddaughter Ellery Garner of Thomasville, North Carolina.

Fairfield Community Schools were incredibly important to Nola through the years. She served on both the PTA of New Paris Elementary and on the Fairfield Jr. Sr. High athletic boosters at different points in her life. It brought her joy to see those organizations bring their goals to fruition. She also never met a bake sale or a cake walk that she didn't support.

Nola was proudest of her family and their successes but was also proud of the business Douglas and she built. She cared deeply about each employee and worked tirelessly to provide them a stable job at Vinyl By Design. She was also very proud of the 15 years she worked as a registered nurse in ICU at Goshen Hospital. Nola missed the camaraderie of her BINGO table at the VFW this last year due to COVID-19. Prior to COVID-19, she made sure birthdays at BINGO were celebrated with cakes, pies, or cookies!

Her willingness to serve others through hard work, grit, and integrity was second to none. Her family will deeply miss her fierce and loyal dedication, her homemade chocolate sheet cakes, and family card games.

Visitation will be Monday, June14, 2021, from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral mass at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Royce Gregerson will officiate.
