Nicholas "Ryan" Kipp

Nicholas "Ryan" Kipp, 31, of Syracuse, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012, as the result of an accident at a worksite in Medina County, Ohio. He was born September 13, 1981, in Goshen to William and Andrea (Oberlin) Kipp. He married Angie Schwartz May 4, 2002. She survives. Also surviving are three children, Guile Nicholas, Gaven Ryan and Gracelyn Rose, all at home; his father, William Kipp of Elkhart; two brothers, Willie Oberlin of Millersburg and Benjamin Kipp of Elkhart; a sister, Tonya Kipp of Millersburg; extended family from the Millersburg area; and a lifetime friend and father-figure, Tim Snyder. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gretchen Kipp; his mother, Andrea Kipp; and grandmother, Grace Oberlin. He worked for RC Reclycling in industrial disassembling for resale. He had also worked for NuWay Construction for seven years. Ryan was known as a good person with a "big heart". An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed football, NASCAR and playing poker in the Friday night "Poker Club". Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, October 14, and one hour prior to the 1 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2012, funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Miller, Maple City Chapel, will officiate. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a fund that will be set up for Ryan's children.
