Nelle K. Mack

Nelle K. Mack, 90, of Goshen, died Monday morning, December 10, 2007, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born in Goshen on November 23, 1917, to Thomas and Jessie (Dykstra) Korenstra.  She married Kenneth Mack in Goshen on October 17, 1958.  He preceded her on May 25, 2002. A life long resident of the area, Mrs. Mack worked as a bookkeeper at Western Rubber.  She was a member of the Greene Road Church (formerly Goshen Christian Reformed Church) and Maplecrest Country Club.  She volunteered at Goshen General Hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Marsha (James) Pepple of Fort Wayne; a son, Rodney (Susan) Mack of Naperville, Illinois; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette Alwine of Warsaw; and two brothers, Gary (Judy) Korenstra of Ponta Gorda, Florida, and Francis (Mary Lou) Korenstra of Syracuse. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Fanna Hoffman and three brothers, Charles, Luke and Nick Korenstra. Friends will be received Thursday, December 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. A 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
