Ned R. Livergood, 90, of South Bend, died Friday afternoon, April 25, 2008, at the home of his daughter. He was born January 15, 1918 in Goshen to Raymond Rosco and Hazel (Garnet) Livergood. He married Virginia Lois Boucher on June 22, 1941, in Mishawaka. She survives. A member of the First Church of God, Goshen, Mr. Livergood worked at Penn Controls and then Johnson Controls. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Dorinda (Mike) Smith of South Bend; daughters-in-law, Deborah Sherburn and Sandra Livergood; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchild; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jack Livergood in 1996 and Daniel Livergood in 2003; a sister, Allegera Rohrer and a brother William Livergood. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 28, at the funeral home. An 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Troy Scott of the First Church of God Church, Goshen will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice and Palliative Care of South Bend.
