Nathan E. Nussbaum, 87, of Goshen died Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2016 at Greencroft Healthcare.
He was born September 23, 1928, in Kidron, Ohio, to Amos and Lydia (Falb) Nussbaum.
On August 30, 1953 he married Ruby Glick at Emma Mennonite Church.
She survives along with six children: Evan Nussbaum of South Bend; Ethan (Carol) Nussbaum of Lexington, South Carolina; Rebecca (Don) Rohrer of Elkhart; Jonathan (Becky) Nussbaum of Union, Michigan; David Nussbaum of Osceola; Rachel (Rick) Eby of Goshen; and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Elma Bixler, Lila Lehman, Laura Hofstetler and Rosa Kratzer; and four brothers, Gilbert, Clarence, Irvin and Delvin Nussbaum.
Mr. Nussbaum was a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church. He worked as a pastor and electrician for nine years and also as an appliance technician for Sears for 21 years before retiring.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
An 11 a.m. memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at North Goshen Mennonite Church, 510 N. 8th St., Goshen. Pastor Mark Schloneger will officiate.
Private burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Mennonite Central Committee.
