Narvel Waller

Narvel "Roy" Waller, 72, of Goshen, died late Thursday morning March 17, 2011, at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen.  He had been ill the past five years. He was born March 31, 1928 in Newcomb, Tennessee, to the late Lloyd and Florence (Main) Waller.  He married Dorothe Dean on October 2, 1967 in Goshen.  She survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert R. Waller of Goshen; five step-daughters, JoAnne Kotrba, Goshen, Jacki (Monty) Coffman of Mishawaka, Marcia (Jack) Mitchell of Elkhart, Paul Valentine of Jacksonville, Alabama and Dorothe A. Bolinger, Texas; three step-sons, John K. Johnson of Goshen, Clifford Gilbert of Dallas, Texas, and Tim Gilbert of Indianapolis; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Thelma (J.B.) Wright of Fremont, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a son, Willard L. Johnson; two brothers, Nathanial and Andrew Waller; and three sisters, Wilma Hamby, Alice Baker and Jean Chitwood. A Goshen resident since 1965, Mr. Waller worked at Mogul Rubber for 33 years.  He serviced with the US Army in Korea and was a member of the DAV and a former member of the Moose.  He attended New Paris Missionary Church. Friends may call 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 20 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. A 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2011, funeral service will be conducted at New Paris Missionary Church.  Pastor Jim Breniser of New Paris Missionary Church and Pastor Michael Bender, a nephew, of Mottville Bible Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
