Naomi L. Patton, 84, of Goshen, passed away Sunday evening, October 4, 2015, at Greencroft Healthcare. She suffered from a malignant brain tumor since June 10. She was born January 13, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky to Melvin and Florence (Coltman) Frey. She is survived by a daughter, Lori (David) Parson of LaGrange; three grandchildren, Lisa (MJ) Vickers of Bronson, Michigan, Kaleena (Isaac) Reed of Middlebury and Nicolas (Jessica) Parson of Fairhope, Alabama; seven great-grandchildren, Chloe and Brock Vickers, Eli, Oliver and Sophie Reed and Adley and Sarah Parson ; and a sister, Esther Patten of LaMirada, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Larry W. and David M. Patton; a daughter, Lisa M. Patton; and a sister, Ruth Willard. A Goshen resident since 2004, Ms. Patton was a member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a prayer warrior and was also involved in different Bible study groups. She did a lot of volunteer work at Greencroft including helping to reorganize their library and working in the dining room. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and cheering them on in everything, being their number one fan. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 6, 2015, one hour prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church. Rev. Harold Knight will officiate. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
