Naomi Grissom

Naomi Grissom, 101, of Goshen, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Courtyard Healthcare where she had resided the past year.

She was born May 3, 1916 in Clinton Township, Elkhart County to William G. and Mabel B. (Rohrer) Vance.

On December 10, 1935 she married Oscar Merl Grissom in Albion.  He died August 26, 1958.

She is survived by a sister, Linabelle Hoogenboom.

Along with her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth Elder, Catherine Wysong, Charles R. Vance, Henry Vance, and Kenneth Vance.

Mrs. Grissom retired from Penn Controls in 1978.  She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Goshen and former member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Millersburg.  Naomi was also a member of the VFW Auxillary.

Friends may call Friday, June 9, 2017 one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.  Rev. John Hickey will officiate.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
