Nancy E. Snobarger, 81, of Goshen, died Saturday, October 2, 2010, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. She was born in Goshen on July 27, 1929, to the late Edward and Hester (Steele) Rupholdt. She married John Pershing Snobarger July 19, 1947. He died January 20, 1987. A lifelong Goshen resident, Mrs. Snobarger graduated from Goshen High School in 1947. She was a member of St. James’ Episcopal Church, Tri Kappa Sorority, The Library Club and Maplecrest Country Club. She volunteered with the Goshen General Hospital Auxiliary. In the late 40’s and early 50’s she and her husband worked at IA Miller. She is survived by a son, John E. (Jo) Snobarger of Bakersfield, California; a daughter, Nancy Jo “Jody” Snobarger, of Goshen; two granddaughters, April and Kelly Snobarger; and a sister, Katherine Craig of Goshen. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, October 6, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010, funeral service will be held at St. James’ Episcopal Church, Goshen, with Rev. Larry Biller officiating. Yoder-Culp Crematory will cremate the body following the service and burial will be at a later date in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Asthma and COPD Education Center, or St. James’ Episcopal Church, Goshen.
