Nancy J. Sholly

Nancy J. Sholly, 74, died late Sunday night, May 16, 2010, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. She had been in failing health the past four years. She was born December 31, 1935, in Walkerton, to Ralph and Chloe (Mohler) Ward.  She married Duane A. Sholly on June 3, 1956, in North Manchester.  He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Beth Sholly of Goshen, and Jill (Robert) Lange of Valparaiso; a son, Brian W. (Yolanda) Sholly of Roswell, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister, Maridean Clemens. A member of United Church of God, Elkhart, she worked as an administrative assistant for 29 years for the Elkhart County Sheriff.  She also attended ceramic painting classes in Union, Michigan. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10:00 a.m., Thursday, funeral service will be conducted.  Rev. Vernon Hargrove, retired minister of United Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice, South Bend.
