Nancy E. Miller, 58, of Three Rivers, Michigan, was found dead early Wednesday morning, March 8, 2006, at her home. She had been seriously ill since suffering a stroke in 1999 though death was unexpected. She was born December 25, 1947, in New Castle, Indiana, to William H. and Opal Mae (Davis) Butler. On May 1, 1983, she married Devon Lee “Dee” Miller in Goshen. He survives. She enjoyed country and western music, singing with local bands, and fishing with her husband. She was well known for her fine baked goods. Mrs. Miller had worked at Dunkin’ Donut in Goshen, Dixie Cream Donuts in Elkhart and at D&W Grocery in Three Rivers as a baker. She had owned and operated the Pastry Palace in Dunlap and worked with her husband at Kopf Trucking in Goshen. Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Devon; two daughters, Gina Marner of Elkhart, and Dione (Richard) Miller of Ligonier; three sons, Duane (Darla) Miller of Goshen, Erick (Jennifer) Duvall and Jason Duvall, both of Elkhart; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Juanita Archer and Phyllis (Johnny) Flora, both of Goshen; and two brothers, Claude (Estella) Butler of Goshen and Jesse Butler of New Castle. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Shelton and Patricia Ellen Pierce and four brothers, George, Charlie, Donald and Jimmy Butler. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 10 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 1:00 p.m. service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 11, 2006. Pastor Ron Spyker of the Jefferson Brethren Church will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
