Nancy Ellen Elliott

Nancy Ellen Elliott, 70, of Goshen, died Friday evening, December 2, 2005, at Americare where she had been a resident since August 25, 2005. She was born September 4, 1935, in Muncie, Indiana, to Cletis R. and Ruth Evelyn (Holoway) Bowers.  On April 26, 1980, in Muncie, she married Herman R. Elliott.  He died January 28, 1995.   She graduated in 9154 from Harrison Township High School, Muncie, Indiana.  She lived in Goshen since 1972, coming from Muncie.  She was a member of the West Goshen Church of the Brethren.   Mrs. Elliott worked in housekeeping at Goshen General Hospital for 27 years, retiring in 1999.  After her retirement she worked for ADEC five years.   She is survived by an aunt, Avis R. Riddle of South Bend, Indiana, several cousins from the Ritchie and Riddle families, and her best friend, Frank Nusbaum of Goshen.   She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman.   Friends will be received 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 5, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.   A 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2005, service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastors Tom Clark and Ray Barkey of the West Goshen Church of the Brethren will officiate.   Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
