Monica K. Tarman

Monica K. Tarman, 27 of Goshen died peacefully in her sleep, Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Goshen Hospital following a short battle with lung cancer.

She was born May 31, 1992 in Slobozia, Romania. She came home to her family July 13, 2000.

Survivors include her parents Douglas C. and Rebecca (Johnson) Tarman, Goshen; siblings, Stefanie (Desmond) Atem, South Bend, Justin (Kari) Tarman and Tanya I. Tarman, both of Goshen; and her beloved “Bunica”, grandmother, Kathleen Johnson, Goshen.

A 2012 graduate of Fairfield High School, Monica participated in track, cheerleading and cross country. She was also a member of a national championship competitive cheer squad with Elkhart Elite. She enjoyed working at Yellow Creek Day Care the past two years.

Monica was a ray of sunshine in everyone’s life she touched.  Quick with a hug and a smile, she was a gift to all who were blessed enough to have known her.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private burial will take place at New Paris Cemetery, New Paris.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made out to Make-a-Wish Foundation and sent to the funeral home at 1911 S. Main St., Goshen, IN 46526
