Mona Lou Pfahler, 86, of Goshen, died Friday, February 25, 2022 at The Laurels of Goshen.
She was born November 18, 1935 in Crestline, Ohio to Norman and Marcine (Carlisle) Neff.
On November 25, 1956 she married Samuel F. Pfahler in Crestline, Ohio.
He survives along with their five children, Pam (John) Roberts of Goshen, Kim (Ken) Jones of White Pigeon, Michigan, Doug (Shannon Miller) Pfahler of Rochester, Lee (Karen) Pfahler of Goshen and Nathan (Jennifer) Pfahler of Brownsburg; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren; a sister Nancy Sigars of Spring Hill, Florida and family; and two half siblings, Norma Ann (Jim) Glauer and Craig Neff both of Crestline, Ohio.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Leah Grace Pfahler.
A 1953 graduate of Crestline High School, Mrs. Pfahler and family moved to Goshen in 1967. She was an active member of Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen, where she sang in the choir and served as chair of the Bereavement committee. A past deaconess, she was a very kind, caring and welcoming member of the church.
Mona Lou’s biggest joy in life was being a Mom and Grandmother to all and a loving wife to Sam.
A family graveside service will take place at Violett Cemetery on Thursday, March 10. A public memorial service will occur at Plymouth United Church of Christ from 3 to 3:30. Pastor Linda Sue Hewitt will officiate. Receiving of friends will follow from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the church. Masks will be required at the church.
Memorial donations may be given to Plymouth United Church of Christ.
