Mitchell L. Chrisman

Mitchell L. Chrisman, 69, of Bristol, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born August 16, 1956 in Elkhart.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Chrisman; a daughter, Katrina (Stephen) Buell; grandchildren, Nicholas, Carter and Evelyn; a sister, Cathy (Paul) Webb; and his mother, Thelma June (Grosse) Chrisman, plus his larger extended family including 10 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chauncey Neil Chrisman, a son, Justin Lee Chrisman, and a brother, Michael Chrisman.

Mitch was an avid “outdoorsman”. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting mushrooms and hunting deer during the season.

He was also very mechanically inclined, able to fix or build just about anything. He was always up for the challenge.

He and Brenda enjoyed taking drives and exploring old abandoned buildings, and having adventures “off the grid’.

Mitchell was an all-around animal lover, whether wildlife in his yard or his special Darla, he would do his best to care for them.

Services will be Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 12 p.m. prior to the 1 p.m., funeral service. Pastor John Schrock, Rock Run Church of the Brethren, will officiate.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
