Mildred Stahl

Mildred Stahl, 90, of Goshen, died at her home Thursday afternoon, Sept. 18, 2014 after suffering a stroke in July. She was born Oct. 11, 1923 in Syracuse to Fordie and Hazel (Tully) Grisamer. On Nov. 22, 1941 she married Ernest Stahl. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, two sons, Roy Stahl, Seattle Washington and Robert (Terri) Stahl of Mishawaka; a daughter, Lavon (Ron) Herr of Topeka; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph, Jonathan, Simone, Sarah and Alissa; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, George and an infant brother, Robert Grisamer. A homemaker, Mrs. Stahl was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. For a few years she worked for IXL and Proof Company. Friends may call Sunday, Sept. 22, 2014, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10 a.m., funeral service on Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Goshen. Pastor John Hickey will officiate. Burial will follow in Solomon Creek Cemetery, Syracuse. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Lutheran Church or The Maples at Waterford Crossing.
