Mildred Odchodnicky, 89, of Goshen, died late Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 26, 1921, to the late Jan and Susan (Deconek) Odchodnicky. A member of First Baptist Church, Goshen, she worked for Sears & Roebuck for 60 years in the office and tax department. She came to know Christ through the Mennonite Home Mission in Chicago. She was raised by her sister, Elizabeth (Ralph) King. She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Jan, Paul, Stephen and John Odchodnicky and three sisters, Olga Lindquest, Susana Bishop and Elizabeth King. Friends may call 1:30 to 2:45 p.m., Saturday, June 19, at The Meetinghouse at Greencroft, Goshen, where a 3:00 p.m. funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Greggory Lanzen of First Baptist Church, Goshen. Cremation will follow and her cremains will be scattered at Greencroft Goshen Celebration Memorial and Prayer Garden on Tuesday, June 22, at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to first Baptist Church, Goshen or Christian Radio 4VEH, Haiti, c/o OMS International, PO Box A, Greenwood, IN 46142 or The Baby Center in Kenya, c/o World Gospel Mission, PO Box 948, Marion, IN 46952.
