Michael David Weatherby

Michael David Weatherby 44, of Bremen died unexpectedly Sunday morning, February 24, 2013 at Bremen Community Hospital. He was born May 16, 1968 in Alma, Mich., to Roland Lewis and Dorothy Jean (French) Weatherby, Jr. He is survived by his parents; three daughters, Kendra Leann Fox, of Big Rapids, Michigan, Kylee Rachael Weatherby, of Bremen, Cassie Weatherby, of Alma, Michigan; a son, Kaylob M. Dowsett, of Bremen; and a sister, Renee Frost, of Goshen. He had lived in Goshen and Boise, Idaho before settling in Bremen the last three years. Mike was an expert mason, and well-known for being dedicated and detailed in his work. He was an accomplished "shade-tree" mechanic, who thoroughly enjoyed working on automobiles. Mike enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fresh water fishing and snowmobiling. His outgoing and warm personality made everyone around him feel at ease and accepted. Honoring Mike's expressed wish, his body will be cremated at Yoder-Culp Crematory. A memorial service will be held 5:00 p.m. Friday March 1, 2013 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Bremen Post #8972.
