Michael Rodden

November 20, 1951 — August 11, 2014

Michael Rodden, 62, of Goshen, died Monday morning, August 11, 2014, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born November 20, 1951 in Flint, Michigan to Clifford and Shirley (Ballge) Rodden. On April 15, 1997 he married Maria Tobes. She survives along with five children, Jarod, Derrick, Nathan (Jennifer) and Ian Rodden and Crystal Butler, all of Goshen; 14 grandchildren; and three sisters, Brenda (Perry) White, Carrollton, Georgia, Gloria (Gene) Campbell, Swartz Creek, Michigan and Mary (Jim) Stiehl, Houthen Lake, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Rodden graduated from Beecher High School, Flint, Mich. He was a member of the John Birch Society and attended St. John's. He enjoyed watching movies and food shows and then grilling and trying out new recipes. Friends may call Wednesday, August 13, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the 10 a.m., funeral service on Thursday, August 14, 2014, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Father Tony Steinacker will officiate. Cremation at Yoder-Culp Crematory will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
