Michael David Cross

Michael D. Cross, 46, of Niles, Michigan died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

He was born October 5, 1978 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Survivors include his mother, Laurie (Tim) Bontreger, Goshen; his longtime companion of 17 years, Bridgett Bickel; two brothers, Jamie R. (Naomi) Cross, Elkhart and Kristian (Shana) Bontreger, Farmland, Indiana; and six nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Cross and an uncle, David Kindy.

A 1997 Bethany Christian High School graduate, Michael had an exceptional talent in the kitchen, where he transformed simple ingredients into culinary delights. His delicious creations brought joy and comfort to family members and friends, making every gathering a special occasion.

He had a deep love for the game of tennis. He approached the court with enthusiasm and skill.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
