Mervin E. Troyer, 85, of Millersburg, died Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Goshen Hospital.
He was born February 9, 1936 in Elkhart County to Ezra and Mary (Miller) Troyer.
On June 30, 1957 he married June E. Larimer at Rock Run Church, Goshen.
She survives along with three sons, Patrick (Denise) Troyer of San Antonio, Texas, Kevin Troyer of Thornton, Colorado, and Derek Troyer of Denver, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Cory Olsen of Eugene, Oregon, and Randy Olsen of Houston, Texas.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Gingerich and Gladys Christner; and four brothers, Omer, Melvin, Elmer and Marion Troyer.
Mr. Troyer was a 1955 graduate of Millersburg High School and 1959 graduate of Purdue University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked as an electrical engineer for Bendix for 32 years.
Mervin was a member of the Purdue Alumni Association, American Legion, and served on the Rock Run Cemetery Board. His many interests included, golf, bowling, working in the yard, and feeding birds.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 1 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2021 funeral service will be conducted.
Burial will follow at Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen.
