Mervin L. Schrock, 91, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Greencroft Healthcare.
He was born July 21, 1932 in Elkhart County to Levi and Martha (Miller) Schrock.
On June 6, 1959 he married Anna Mary Stoltzfus in Atglen, Pennsylvania.
She survives along with three daughters, Kellie (Steve) Weigel of Syracuse, Cindy (Terry) Bontrager of Topeka and Kim (Jeff) Maurer of Dunlap; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Anna Marie Miller of Millersburg, Ohio, Verda (Perry) Yoder of Goshen, Vera Yoder of Middlebury and Ernest (Anna Mae) Schrock of Goshen.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur and Wayne Schrock.
A loving husband, father and family man, Mr. Schrock was a 34 year member at Zion Chapel/Harvest Community Church. He served as an elder at Benton Mennonite Church and shared his faith by participating in many mission trips. He owned Merv’s Construction and worked as a realtor with Vance Weaver Realty during his construction career.
He wintered in Sarasota, Florida, and enjoyed fishing.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. A private burial will be held Monday, July 15, at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee. A memorial service will follow burial at 11 a.m. at Harvest Community Church, 17285 CR 34, Goshen.
Memorial donations may be given to the Mission Fund at Harvest Community Church.
