Melvin E. Eash, 90, of Goshen passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 surrounded by family at his home.
He was born September 3, 1934 in Goshen to Enos and Mary (Hershberger) Eash.
On November 9, 1955 he married Clara Christner in Goshen.
She survives along with three children, Ron Eash of North Webster, Steven Eash of Goshen and Judy (Justin) Dirks of Middlebury; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Katie Bontrager of Goshen.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Linda Brown and Anita Thacker; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Eash; brothers, Levi and Ray Eash; and a sister, Ruby Miller.
Melvin was an active member of Abundant Life Church, Goshen. He worked as a long haul truck driver for many years. He enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing or cutting wood. Mel could also be found at Peddler’s Village looking for treasures in his free time.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service, also at the funeral home. Pastor Tom Leitch will officiate.
Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
