Melissa A. Stanton, 49, of Warsaw, died Monday, May 10, 2021 at Kosciusko Community Hospital after battling a long-term illness.
She was born April 17, 1972 in Corbin, Kentucky to Kenneth and Annabelle (Slack) Beckett. They preceded her in death.
On September 3, 2016 she married Barry Stanton at 1 st United Methodist Church Life Center, Goshen.
He survives along with her daughters, Karoline Fowler of North Manchester and Abbigail Fowler of Jimtown; a grandson, Jackson Burgess; and a sister, Stacia Patarino of Franklin.
Melissa was a member of 1 st United Methodist Church and worked as a licensed practical nurse. She enjoyed being a 4-H mother; spending time in the swimming pool; and was an avid zipliner. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother to Jackson.
Visitation will begin Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. prior to the 2 p.m. Celebration of Life service at the 1 st United Methodist Church Life Center, 1212 W. Plymouth Ave., Goshen. Pastor Diana Siegel will officiate.
According to Melissa’s wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory, Goshen.
