Melissa Mary Kauffman, 57, of Goshen passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, April 27.
She was born November 17, 1966, in Goshen to Michael Monroe Kauffman II, the first Goshen man to die in Vietnam, and Sharon K. (Perrin) Kauffman.
Melissa is survived by her sister, Michele M. Kauffman of Goshen; the love of her life, James Flores and several nieces and nephews, Mica, Mykal and Monique Kauffman, RaeLee, Deanna and Tiffany Smith.
While a student at Goshen High School, Melissa was a member of the Color Guard and worked at Penguin Point. Following graduation, she worked many years in factories and as a pharmaceutical technician. She was currently working in the floral department at Kroger’s.
Melissa was a cancer survivor and loved dogs and cats.
A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, June 1, from 2 to 7 p.m. at The Willows, clubhouse in Goshen.
A private burial will take place at Violett Cemetery.
