Maxwell L. "Max" Bigler

Maxwell L. “Max” Bigler, 79, of Goshen died early Friday morning, June 6, 2008, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend.  He had been ill about six years. He was born in Goshen on December 9, 1928, to Pierre Starr and Celeste (Johnson) Bigler.  Mr. Bigler retired from the former Goshen Cushion and Body. He is survived by three brothers, Pierre Junior Bigler, James (Dorothy) Bigler and Phillip Bigler, all of Goshen; a sister-in-law, Belle Bigler of Goshen;  five nieces, Barb (Vernon L.) Miller of Middlebury, Sharon (Bob) Bohs of Elkhart, Connie Myers of Goshen, Judy (Nevin) Honderich of Millersburg and Yolanda Dittert of Illinois; six nephews, Dean Bigler and Michael Bigler, both of California, Wayne (Patricia) Bigler of Nappanee, Steve (Nancy) Bigler and Thomas (Jean) Bigler, both of Goshen, and Tim (Jerrie) Bigler. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Bigler. Friends may call 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2008, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10:00 a.m. funeral service will be conducted.  Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Courtyard Healthcare of Goshen.
