Maxine O. Myers

Maxine O. Myers, 87 of Goshen, died at 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2010. She was born to Orville and Mary (Fischer) Householder on April 3, 1922 in Elkhart.  Maxine was retired from Johnson Controls where she worked as an inspector, in January of 1988 after 36 years of service. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, a 1940 graduate of Goshen High School, a 60 year member of VFW Post #985 Women’s Auxiliary where she was past president, and belonged to the Altar Rosary Society of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She is survived by one son, Orville Myers and his special friend Terri Wentz both of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Hubert, Ralph, Howard J. and Harold Householder. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, after which there will be a procession from the funeral home to the church. A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2010 funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Rev. Father Christopher Smith officiating. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be made to VFW Ladies, Post #985, Auxiliary.
