Maxine E. Bowen

Maxine E. Bowen, 86, of Elkhart, died Sunday, October 10, 2021, at home surrounded by family.

She was born December 31, 1934 in Converse, Howard County, to Frank and Roxie (Reynolds) Grabow.

Survivors include three children, Martha Bowen of Elkhart, Kathy Greenlee of North English, Iowa and Ray Bowen of Elkhart; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dale Grabow of Converse.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Bowen; a son, Dale Bowen; a brother, Robert Grabow; and a sister, Annabelle Hasting.

A long-time area resident, Maxine worked at Kreuter Manufacturing Corp., also known as KMC Controls, New Paris, until her retirement in 2007 after 29 years of service.

According to her wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date in Iowa.
