Maxine R. Baker

Maxine R. Baker, 85, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Heritage Estates in Gering, Nebraska.  She was formerly of Goshen, but had been living in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  She was born on October 10, 1924, in Goshen, to the late Charles and Myrtie (Rummel) Burkett.  She married Warren L. Baker on August 11, 1946, in Goshen.  He survives.  Mrs. Baker worked as a bank teller.  She is survived by one daughter; Linda Williams, Scottsbluff, Nebraska; one son, James Baker, Rockford, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sisters.  An 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 graveside service will be held at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.  Pastoral Assistant Pamela Kling, of First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
