Mattie Schrock

Mattie Schrock, 93, died Wednesday afternoon, August 11, 2010 at Regency Place, South Bend.  She was born on October 30, 1916 to the late Andrew and Susan (Bontrager) Chupp, in Hutchinson, Kansas.  She was married on November 2, 1939 to Albert P. Schrock, in Goshen.  He preceded her in death on March 12, 1990.  A homemaker, Mrs. Schrock was a member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Goshen.  She is survived by two daughters, Velma (Lester) Rassi, Granger, Alberta (Walter) Johnson, Niles, Michigan; two sons, Verlin (Ruth) Schrock, Myakka City, Florida, James (Debbie) Schrock, Sarasota, Florida; five sisters, Ann Yoder, Moses Lake, Washington, Dema (John) Mishler, Bridgeville, Delaware, Katie (Paul) Schwartzentruber, Kalona, Iowa, Emma Chupp, Goshen, Millie Eicher, Topeka; one brother, Andrew (Dema) Chupp, Dayton, Oregon; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lizzie Chupp, Drucilla Chupp; and three brothers, Levi Chupp, Benjamin Chupp, and Isaac Chupp.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2010 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday, August 17.  An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 17 at Pleasant View Mennonite Church.  Pastor Ron Diener and Deacon Norm Maust will officiate.
