Mathew S. Perry, 18, of Georgetown, Kentucky, died early Sunday morning, July 30, 2006, from injuries suffered in a single car accident on Cane Run Road, west of Georgetown. He was born in Goshen on January 22, 1988, to Mark A. Perry and Valerie R. (Mishler) Perry. He moved from Goshen to Georgetown, Kentucky, a year and a half ago. He would have been a senior this fall at Georgetown High School. He was a member of the Community Church of Goshen and had attended Goshen High School before moving to Kentucky. He was working at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Georgetown, Kentucky. He was especially talented in collision repair and was an accomplish sketch artist. Mathew is survived by his mother, Valerie Perry of Goshen; father and stepmother, Mark A. and Vickie Perry of Earlington, Kentucky; a brother, Mark W. Perry of Goshen; and a half sister, Lisa Louder of Morehead, Kentucky. He is also survived by grandparents, Larry and Sue Long of Goshen; and great-grandparents, Harold and Juanita Oldfield of Mottville, Michigan and Georgia Staton of Morehead, Kentucky. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 1, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2006, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Darin Holsopple, Youth Director of Community Church of Waterford will officiate. A private scattering service of cremains will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Church of Waterford or to the family to help with final expenses.
