Matthew C. Isley

Matthew C. Isley, 32, of Goshen, died unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon, December 6, 2009, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born in Elkhart on March 19, 1977, to William L. and Karen R. (Whitwell) Isley, of Goshen. A lifelong resident of the area, Mr. Isley had worked at Pumpernickle Catering in Elkhart.  He was a 1996 graduate of Goshen High School and an avid sports fan, knowledgeable of many sports statistics and trivia.  He was a loving father, son and brother. He is survived by his parents; two sons, Jeremiah Kendrick and Joshua M Isley, both of Elkhart; a sister, Rachel Kathleen Isley of Goshen; a brother, Nicholas (Stephanie) Isley of New Paris; and grandparents, Rebecca Diane Yoder of Sebring, Florida, and Dale and Betty Whitwell of Pflugerville, Texas. Friends may call 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009, at the Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel where an 11: a.m., funeral service will be conducted.  Pastor Norman Reimer will officiate.  Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nappanee Missionary Church.
