January 26, 1957 — September 23, 2015

Mary J. Sutter, 58, of Goshen, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 23, 2015, at Avalon Village, Ligonier. She had been battling brain cancer since May. She was born January 26, 1957 in Beech Grove to Lester Ridener and Erna (Kratzert) Hawkins. She married Doug Sutter in Goshen in 2010. He survives along with a daughter, Shawna (Ryan) May of Zionsville; a son, Calvin (Julie) Kneller of Akron; her mother, Erna Hawkins of Plainfield; six grandchildren; two brothers, John (Cheryl) Ridener of Middleburg, Florida and Robert Ridener of Plainfield; and a sister, Susan (Michael) Wood of Plainfield. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Linda Kachler. A longtime area resident, Mary worked at BriMar Wood Innovations. She enjoyed interior decorating, country music and her Morkie, Thumbelina. Friends may call on Monday, September 28, 2015, from 4 until the 6 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Wes Bontreger of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church will officiate. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Yoder-Culp Funeral Home to help the family with final expenses.
