Mary Lou Stine

Mary Lou Stine, 93, of Goshen passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born May 28, 1931 in Bremen to Leon and Vera (Ritchey) Dutoi.

A 1948 graduate of Bremen High School, she married Lowell Stine on May 11, 1951 in Bremen. He died June 1, 2018.

She is survived by a son, Lon (Pamela) Stine of Bristol; daughter, Susan Stine of Goshen; three grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Stine of Bremen, David (Amy) Stine of Elkhart, and Melissa Jaronik of Hammond; and five great-grandchildren, Brenna, Owen, Gavin, Addison and Nathan.

Also surviving is a brother, Donald (Sheila) Dutoi of Mishawaka; sister, Helen Balsley of Bremen; sister-in-law, Kathy Dutoi of Bremen and various nieces.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene “Sonny” Dutoi and a sister, Janice Dutoi.

Mrs. Stine was a member of Goshen First Church and Elkhart County home extension club, Clinton Cliques. She and Lowell enjoyed living in Fort Myers, Florida during the winter for 25 years.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and Thursday, September 26, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service also at the funeral home. Pastor Diana Siegel will officiate.

A private burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery.
