Mary Ann Snyder

March 26, 1942 — June 22, 2022

Mary Ann (VanAuken) Snyder, 80, of Goshen, a resident of Majestic Care, died at 9:25 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2022.  She was a beloved mother and grandmother.  Mary Ann was a faithful woman who loved the Lord and her family.

A native of Goshen, Mary Ann was born on March 26, 1942, to James and Jerrie VanAuken.  She graduated from Goshen High School in 1960 and married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Snyder on June 22, 1963. She passed on their 59 th wedding anniversary and the family believes they were able to celebrate it together. Surviving are her sons Stephen (Kristen) of Johns Creek, Georgia, and Michael (JJ) of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Also surviving are her two sisters, Rita Phillips, Deb (Dave) Ott, brothers Jeff Cripe and Jamie VanAuken and many nieces and nephews.  She was the grandmother to five granddaughters and two grandsons.

Mary Ann loved 50’s rock & roll music, teaching aerobics, reading and movies.  She had been a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church where she also served as a custodian for many years.  She was proceeded in death by both her husband and parents.

Friends may call from 11:00 to 1:00 PM on Friday, July 1 st at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. A service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Violett Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in honor of Mary Ann may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church, 215 E. Lincoln Ave., Goshen, IN 46528.
