Mary E. Seymour

Mary E. Seymour, 79, of Goshen, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago.

She was born January 14, 1940 in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Survivors include two children, Sarah Pridemore of Louisville, Kentucky and Scott Seymour, Indianapolis and a grandson, Jackson Pridemore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn (Robbins) Schewe; step-mother, Marceline (Swift) Schewe and a sister, Judy Nelch.

A lifelong educator, Mrs. Seymour retired from Goshen Community Schools.  She was actively involved in her church, Faith Lutheran Church and The Window, Goshen.  She enjoyed traveling, reading, following sports, playing card games with friends and keeping current with politics.

She was a source of unconditional love for her family and friends, accompanied by a tinge of stubbornness.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Greene Road.  Pastors John Hickey and Jess King will officiate.

A time of fellowship and a meal will follow the memorial service.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The Window or Faith Lutheran Church.
