Mary Catherine Rock

Mary Catherine Rock, 92, of Goshen, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 6, 2015 at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. She was born August 21, 1922 in New Paris to John and Marie (Hepler) Smith. On December 27, 1941 she married Herschel Rock. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Miller of Goshen; two sons, Thomas Rock of South Bend and Edward (Kimberly) Rock of Goshen; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donnabell Smoker of New Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Kenneth Smith. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Rock was a member of First United Methodist Church, Goshen. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and working with ceramics. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 prior to the 10:30 a.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Pam Kling will officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to The Boys and Girls Club of Goshen or Elkhart County 4-H Club Corporation.
