Mary E. Martin, 94, of Goshen, died Wednesday afternoon, April 26, 2006, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born December 11, 1911, in Goshen, to Joe and Ollie (Shank) Grabill. On December 20, 1933, she married Ralph L. Martin, in Waynesboro, Virginia. He survives. Mrs. Martin, a homemaker, lived in Goshen all of her life except for six years between 1933 and 1936. She was a member of the Benton Mennonite Church. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; two daughters, Norma F. Martin of Asheville, North Carolina and Kathleen (Enrique) Ortiz of Betania, Puerto Rico; two sons, Richard L (Beatrice “Bea”) Martin of Goshen and Ronald J. (Elizabeth “Liz” Martin of Wooster, Ohio, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Esther Tyson of Sarasota, Florida. She was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin Grabill. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 28, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. The 10 a.m., funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 29, 2005, at the Benton Mennonite Church. Pastors Doug Kaufman and Brenda Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Benton Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be to Mennonite Central Committee or Greencroft “Good Samaritan Fund”.
