Mary Carol King

Mary “Carol” King, 65, of Elkhart died early Friday morning, May 2, 2008, in the emergency room at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on July 1, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Wallace Gordon  and Mary Ruth (Davis) Jones.   On June 18, 1969 in Dowagiac, Michigan she married  Clarence "Rick" King.  He died June 3, 1999. A graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, Ohio, Mrs. King moved to Elkhart 31 years ago coming from Dowagiac.  She worked at Kinro in inside sales and also part time at Kohl’s, both in Goshen.  She was a member of the Dunlap United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Theodore Boylan) Borders of Fort Wayne, Kimberly Darlene Edwards of  Wilson, North Carolina, and Sheri (Robert) Dorrier of Elkhart; a sister through God, Jackie Dunithan of Syrause; a companion,  Richard Navarro of Elkhart;  two sisters, Lanell (Charles) Rowland of Danridge, Tennessee, and Debbie Miller of Middletown, Ohio; and a brother, Glenn Jones of Middletown, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 5, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2008, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  The Rev. Vince Wilezynski of the Syracuse Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery,Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
